March just doesn't feel right unless I knit a pair of socks. It goes back to the days of doing Sock Madness - a sock knitting competition for speed - and then more recently Sock Sanity which only happened one year but was a hoot.
I didn't knit any last year because I was about sixteen bajillion months pregnant, but I got back to it this year with these gorgeous socks. The pattern is Legolas Socks by Claire Ellen and I used deep stash yarn - Nerd Girl Yarns Oh Snap (a hardy BFL/Nylon blend that really is only good for feet and hands) in Elliot (inspired by Pete's Dragon). The bright green is super happy making and the rotating lace and cable panel is super pretty! I'm happy to add these to my growing sock drawer!
