I've been quiet for awhile, but that doesn't mean I haven't been busy! It's nearing on Christmas, which means some of my knitting must necessarily remain secret. That said, one annual Christmas gift can be shared, and that's the sweater I always make for my bff Jess!

This is Timeless Henley by Joji Locatelli, using Madelinetosh Sock in Dustweaver. It's a pale greige with pink undertones, and it works really well with the hourglass lace pattern on the body of the henley!

I don't do a lot of projects with buttons, so I got to do a bit of shopping for this sweater. Of course I had no idea what would go best with this yarn, so I had to get lots of alternates 😁 Now it seems I'll have to pick a few more sweater patterns with buttons to use the beauties I bought!

In addition to the henley buttons, this pattern also has button details on the sleeve cuffs. I think the mother of pearl face to these buttons show coordinate really well with the yarn, which also has that grey-beige-pink swirl to it, and the black border helps them to stand out with the contrast against the button band. Overall, I am really pleased with how this sweater turned out and I'm excited for my friend to receive it!
