Another finished sweater on the books, this is my Falling Leaves sweater, using lolodidit Loriginal in Words (main color) and the seasonal colorway Falling Leaves. I used one of my standby CustomFit sweater patterns (dropsleeves, 3/4 sleeve, crewneck) and a stitch pattern from my favorite brioche stitchionary.
Overall, I'm quite pleased with how this one turned out! I won yarn chicken on the brioche section, since I started it right after the bust increased finished on both the front and back panels, and since the construction is drop sleeves, it used a bit more yarn than I have seen in my previous brioche yoke sweaters. But I did have just enough yarn let to ensure I could finish out all the brioche patterning.
While I finished the knitting on this sweater right before my son was born, I didn't get modeled photos of it until after we came home from the hospital. So no more baby bump here! And if I look a little tired in these pictures...well you can understand why! Also, it has been crazy hot here in the midwest, so I have safely tucked this sweater away to be worn in a few months when the autumn makes it triumphant return. In the meantime, my knitting time has been curtailed so it may be awhile before I'm able to post another FO! But I am diligently working on another sweater, a beautiful purple one this time, and I can't wait to share it with you when it's complete!
