Another shawl complete, naturally! This one was inspired by my book club reading the Court of Thorns and Roses series. We are up to A Court of Silver Flames (my personal favorite) and had to finally take on this shawl that I've had in my queue forever. I chose red to represent Cassian's red siphons, of course.
The pattern is Cassian by Corrina Ferguson, and the yarn is deep stash OOAK yarn that's no longer available. The shaping was really simple, but a very clever way to make a rectangle. The applied lace edging continued the pattern from the top.
I got about halfway through the edging the first time, realized I still had a ton of yarn leftover, and decided to rip back and add another repeat of the body pattern. I'm really glad I did because it turned out to be a perfect size!
